OOPS! Queen accidentally reveals new RARE photo of Princess Charlotte and Prince George

Not sure she was meant to do this...

December 05 2018

Queen Elizabeth, 92, revealed her new portrait in honour of the 75th anniversary of the Royal Air Force - but we all accidentally saw far more than that!

During the photos to celebrate the painting, she forgot to remove a certain photo from the background - a small, framed photo of Prince George, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 3.

So even though she was standing and staring at her portrait, it was the shot behind her back that drew the most of the attention.

The photo was clearly taken about two years ago and features the Queen and Prince Philip with their great-grand-children Princess Charlotte, Prince George, Isla Phillips, Savannah Phillips, and Mia Tindall.

Savannah and Isla are the children of Peter and Autumn Phillips while Mia is the daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall.

That's Charlotte sitting on the Queen's lap, and George seems to be in the middle of his great-grandparents.

The Queen's adorable great-grandchildren are often seen together during big royal events, and are known to be cheeky to say the least!

During Princess Eugenie's wedding, Savannah Philips, 7, took the lead, grabbing George and Charlotte's hand as the group awaited their turn to walk down the aisle.

The photo is so sweet for a number of reasons. First that the Queen is like every other Nana and has photos of her family up at her home (except in this case it's Windsor Castle) and secondly that she forgot to remove it before inviting cameras into her home!
