Meghan Markle's due date revealed - by HER!

Baby Sussex is on the way

Meghan Markle let her due date slip while on a walkabout with Prince Harry in Birkenhead in the UK.

The Duchess revealed to well-wishers that she is SIX months pregnant, and that Baby Sussex is due in late April or early May.

She also revealed the couple don't know whether they're having a boy or a girl, as they want it to be a "surprise".

The Duchess of Sussex will become Patron of four organisations that reflect the causes and issues with which she has long been associated including the arts, access to education, support for women and animal welfare. Her Majesty The Queen has passed on two patronages to The Duchess of Sussex -The National Theatre and The Association of Commonwealth Universities. The Queen has held the roles for 45 and 33 years respectively. While Kensington Palace have not publicly revealed Meghan's due date, many royal fans believed that the royal bub could be expected as early as March due to her growing baby bump.

The Duchess looked radiant and glowing, wearing a purple dress that snugly fitted her bump, and a red wrap coat.

Speaking after encounter with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, royal fan Kim Thompson said: "She said she is six months pregnant and due at the end of April, beginning of May."

Meghan also said that one of her friends had [given birth] five weeks early and [the midwife] said the baby comes when they are ready.

'I said, as long as they are healthy, and Meghan agreed,' Miss Thompson continued. "Then she said, pointing to Harry, 'He's going to make a fantastic father'".

'It's a part of community that I'm so drawn to here. It's not just about donating your clothes and seeing where they land - but being a part of each other's success stories.' The Duchess of Sussex joins a discussion during a visit to @smartworkscharity today. The charity, of which The Duchess is Patron, helps long term unemployed and vulnerable women regain the skills, confidence and tools to succeed at job interviews, return to employment and transform their lives.

The Duchess also told a young girl in the crowd that neither she or husband Prince Harry know the sex of their first child and were "keeping it as a surprise".

Meghan said she was 'feeling really well' and thanked locals for waiting in the cold to see her.

The royal couple visited Birkenhead's Hamilton Square to view a new sculpture and unveiled a plaque to commemorate their visit.
