Chip Shop owner's heartwarming note to homeless man searching for food

We're not crying... you are!

A fish and chip shop owner left a touching note for a homeless man who he found searching through his bins looking for food.

Shad Saleem was looking through his CCTV footage from the night before, when he saw a shadowy figure outside his shop.

When he looked closer, he noticed it was a homeless  man searching inside the takeaway shop's bins for something to eat. Shad, who runs Gino’s Fish Inn in the UK, then took the heartwarming step of trying to find out who the homeless man was, so he could help him.

The note read,

‘Dear human being, if you are the person going through our bins for your next meal then how about you pop in and I’ll give you a bottle of water and a little snack for free, you are worth more than a meal from a bin. We may also be able to direct you to facilities in the town that may help you.'

His friend, also from the UK, then shared the image on Facebook and it quickly went viral.  ‘Faith in humanity restored,' said one follower.  Another said, ‘Just goes to show there are still some lovely, kind-hearted people in the world.’

His friend Dang Vuong said,  ‘I just wanted to share it and if people see it then the next time they see someone who needs help, they might go and ask what they can do. I think sometimes people are scared to ask for help, so just reaching out, speaking to them, pointing them in the direction of places where they can get help, is really important.’

Awwww.
