Parents are loving his honest approach

January 31 2019

A stay-at-home dad has become an overnight sensation after posting his daily post-it notes about his experiences of looking after his two kids.

Chris Illuminati captures all his all of 'those' moments in a series of hilarious notes on Instagram.

And, after parents picked up on his words of wisdom/stress, he has been invited onto TV shows and even launched his own website.

Chris explains on his website that he came up with the idea after he found himself constantly having to write down reminders from his ex-wife on Post-it notes with a black Sharpie.

“As a joke (because I’ve never taken anything in life seriously), I wrote down even the simplest of tasks and pinned it to my bulletin board,” he says. “The notes immediately struck a nerve with readers… It’s parenting advice from a single father that’s real, honest, and most importantly, it’s funny.”

The dad of two also jokes that when friends ask him for tips on being a parent, “my first reaction is to laugh and respond “’yes, say goodbye to your life’ but that always seems so cruel. But seriously HAHAHA their life is over.”

Chris, who is now dating a single mum, admits he had no idea that his Post-It notes would go as viral as they have, and he isn't prepared for the level of attention he has encountered.

'I received emails, Facebook messages, Tumblr comments and tweets from men and women, parents of young children, grown children, parents, stay-at-home dad,' he admits.
