Breaking news from London: Princess Eugenie's surprise baby news!

Princess Eugenie is lining up to announce she is having a baby, a new report says.

The royal, who married Jack Brooksbanks in October,  just a few months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wed, is tipped to have a baby on the way - making her mum Sarah Ferguson a Grandma!

The UK's Daily Express says betting giants Ladbrokes are offering odds of just 1/3 on Eugenie revealing she is pregnant this year.

They say there is a lot of speculation that the daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew has been trying for a baby since her marriage back in October.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes told the Daily Express, "Last year was a huge one on the royal baby front but it looks as though there'll be another addition to the family in the next year or so."

Bookmaker Betfair’s odds on Eugenie having a royal tot this year are at 2/5, while  the odds on the princess announcing she is expecting in April - when Meghan Markle is due to give birth - are 4/6.

Just days before Harry and Meghan announced they were having a baby, bookmakers slashed the odds in much the same way as they are doing now. 

Some royal experts believe that if Eugenie and Jack are expecting a child, they will have to wait until AFTER Prince Harry and Meghan have had their first child, as a matter of royal protocol. 

In an interview last year Fergie, the Duchess of York, hinted that it wouldn't be long before she became a nana.

Saying she would make an "excellent" grandmother, she revealed, “I used to write children’s books, and I am a child, I haven’t grown up."

Eugenie, who is ninth in line to the throne, sparked excitement among royal fans that a baby was on the way in January.

The 28-year-old promised that 2019 would be “exciting” as she shared a throwback picture from her engagement.
