Kate Middleton has opened up about her struggles as a mother of three young children to a group of other mums.
The Duchess Of Cambridge who is mum to Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, three, and eight-month-old Prince Louis but Kate, 37, spoke about how isolating motherhood can be and how she felt that as the kids got older, a lot of support disappeared.
Even though Kate has live-in nanny Maria Borrallo, she is well-known for being a hands-on mum who insists on giving her kids as normal a childhood as she can.
'It's so hard. You get a lot of support with the baby as a mother particularly in the early days but after the age of one it falls away,' she said on a visit to the charity Family Action.
'After that there isn't a huge amount - lots of books to read.
'Everybody experiences the same struggle,' she added.
Last year, Kate touched on the subject of how difficult she found being a parent to three little ones. 'Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience. However, at times it has also been a huge challenge - even for me who has support at home that most mothers do not,' she said.
Sagari Sarkar, a volunteer and mother-of-three who met Kate after her confession said.
'I think It makes her human. It makes her in touch. She is a parent, a very active parent, and I think that's what people like about her,' she said.
