They're back from December 7

Here we go again!

Coles has confirmed the Little Shop miniature craze that swept Australia by storm will return with FIVE new festive mini-collectables for Christmas.

A spokesman for the supermarket giant says the Christmas-themed collection will be back in store on December 7 and includes mince pies, a pavlova slab, bon bons, a gingerbread biscuit and a limited-edition gingerbread ice-cream.

“Customers will receive one free Christmas mini collectable for every $30 they spend in store from December 7,” said the spokesman.

“There will also be a limited number of special-edition Christmas stocking collector cases available for purchase for $4.”

A memo to staff revealed the amazing news Coles Little Shop fans have been desperate to hear.

“We have some BIG news, team! Little Shop is back for Christmas!” the memo begins.

“From Friday 7 December, for every $30 spent at Coles supermarkets and Coles Online, customers can collect a FREE mini collectable — with a total of 5 minis to collect.

“Little Shop Christmas Edition will delight customers this festive season!”

Earlier this year, Coles delighted shoppers with their Little Shop promotion, where fans could collect 30 mini shopping items. Toy versions of popular grocery staples included Weet Bix, Vegemite and Nutella.

Shoppers were given one free toy with every $30 spent in-store, and before long, it became a nation-wide trend which helped Coles profits soar.

It was so popular Facebook groups dedicated to swapping the collectables and swap days were held in some Coles stores, as shoppers became desperate to collect all 30 of the minis.

Some rare minis even swapped hands for around $200.

It's thought the Coles Little Shop Christmas promotion will induce the same excitement and joy with fans already raving about the idea.

'I've missed collecting these so much,' said one. 'I can't wait to hit the store on December 7,' said another.

Looks like we are starting all over again with another craze - quick kids!
