Prince Harry's advice for a young fan who also lost his mum
This is so sweet
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared many special moments with fans during the course of their tour of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
However, one young fan will have a particularly special memory of the trip.
On Tuesday Harry was greeting supporters in Auckland when he spoke to a six-year-old boy who was there with his grandmother, according to the Daily Mail.
Little Otia Nante had lost his mother, and his grandmother, Te, told Harry that Otia looked up to the Prince because they have been through the same experience.
Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, died in a car accident when Harry was 12, over 20 years ago. And the 34-year-old had some advice for the little boy.
Harry took the little boy’s arm before asking how old he was when she died to which he replied, “nearly one.”
Harry then told him 'don't you worry about having just one parent, where's your dad?' Otia's grandmother then explained she has been raising him.
“Life will always be all right, you know that?” he said. “I made it to 34 years and life is great. I’ve got a beautiful wife, baby on the way.
“Your life is going to be sorted, don’t you worry about that.”
Harry also took a moment to speak with Otia’s grandmother. “You’re doing a great job, Nan,” he said. “Nans are so important in our lives.”
