He faced a magistrate to answer charges

September 11 2018

Anthony Harvey has been charged with five counts of murder and appeared before Perth Magistrates Court via video link from Karratha.

The 24-year-old showed little emotion as the charges were read out to the court. He was barefoot and bearded wearing a grey -t-shirt and jeans.

When he was asked by the magistrate if he understood all the charges against him, Anthony Harvey replied, "yes" or "I understand" for each.

He wasn't required to enter a plea and was remanded in custody to appear back in court on September 19.

Yesterday his partner Mara, 47, two-year-old twins Alice and Beatrix, three-year-old Charlotte and his mother-in-law 73-year-old Beverley Ann Quinn were all found dead in their home in Perth.

It's thought his family were killed on September 3 and Beverly was killed the day after.

Their family is in shock of the killings describing Mara and her girls as angels. A family statement read, 'This world is a sadder place with the loss of these five beautiful people but Heaven has gained five new angels.'
