UPDATED DETAILS FROM POLICE:
A newborn boy left abandoned outside a WA medical centre in a box was left with a handwritten message from his mum, who named him Raheel.
The little boy STILL had his umbilical cord attached to him and was found wrapped in a dirty towel at Garden City Medical Centre in Booragoon, Perth.
The name Raheel can mean 'traveller' or 'innocent' and the mother, who is still yet to be identified, pleaded for someone to look after him.
Police are desperate for the mum to come forward in case she needs medical attention.

Aussie police have appealed for help to find the mother of a newborn baby boy who was abandoned in a box outside a medical centre.
The little baby was left in the box in Booragoon, Perth and was less than 24-hours old when he was found by staff at Garden City Medical Centre and raced to a local hospital.
He's said to be in good health and it's thought he was only left alone for about ten minutes before shocked staff discovered him lying, covered in a blanket, outside the door.
Detective Sergeant Dixie Johnson said the boy appeared to have been taken care of before being abandoned, and the mother left a note asking for someone to take care of him.
There is doubt over whether or not the baby boy was born at a hospital, so police have asked the mother to come forward so they can assess her health as well.
Detective Johnson said, "That's why we do want to speak to the mother because we've got concerns about the environment the baby was born in, and we really just need her to come forward to make sure she gets her medical attention and her welfare concerns are looked after.
"If she's not comfortable speaking to police, she's more than welcome speaking to the Department of Communities."
