UPDATE: Swimming coach is accused of sexually abusing little girls while parents sat 'just metres away'.

The Sydney swimming coach charged with sexually assaulting eight young girls during swim lessons at a Sydney pool allegedly carried out some of the shocking acts underwater.

Kyle Daniels, 20, from Balgowlah was arrested on March 12 and charged with the sexual assault of girls as young as five between January 1, 2018 and March 2, this year.

According to the Daily Mail, NSW Police will allege that all 31 charges against Daniels happened 'in and around' the pool at Mosman Swim Centre. 

Some of the alleged offences even are alleged to have taken place while parents sat just metres away during lessons.

The list of charges include sexual intercourse with a child, indecent assault and sexual touching, all of which allegedly took place while Daniels was teaching students in private swimming lessons.

Daniels' lawyer said his client strongly denied the charges.

The Sydney swim school where a 20-year-old alleged child molester touched students inappropriately has now vowed to 'introduce additional safety measures'.  

Mosman Swim Centre, on Sydney's north shore, claim they will improve their child safety policy to go 'over and above' safety guidelines. 

Swimming teacher Kyle Daniels, 20, is accused of molesting eight children - including two sisters aged six and eight. Seven further Apprehended Violence Orders were taken out on Friday.

The South African-born University of Sydney student was hit with 31 charges of child sexual abuse relating to eight girls under the age of 10, who he was teaching to swim.

They include eight counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10, six counts of intentionally sexually touching a child under 10, and 14 counts of indecent assault person under 16 years of age, The Daily Telegraph reported. 

Daniels was given a 'cuddle ban' and told not to hold children close to the groin or chest and keep his hands above water following complaints about his conduct last June, the court heard on Wednesday. 

Now, Mosman Swim Centre general manager Mike Conna, a father of two young children from Balgowlah, admitted 'safety is our priority'.    

'In light of these horrific claims involving a former instructor at the centre, we are introducing additional safety measures that go over and beyond industry practice, so parents can be assured children are as safe as possible,' he said to the Telegraph.

Mosman swim staff take Child Protection and Safety training from governing body Swimming Australia.

The swim centre is run by Ezyswim, a business that also runs Lindfield and Bankstown swimming schools.
