Lisa Wilkinson GRILLS Nick Cummins after Bachelor finale

The Bachelor Nick Cummins left Australia with a collective open jaw when he dumped both Sophie Tieman and Brittany Hockley on this year's finale.

Now, appearing on this Sunday's The Project, Lisa Wilkinson grills a very red-faced Nick as he explains his decision.

After admitting to going into the competition as 'a boy' and not a man, the host remarked: 'You're meant to be at a place where you're ready to have a relationship.'

Wilkinson further probes, clearly not intent on letting the Honey Badger off easily.

'But you do understand on The Bachelor you're meant to be at a place where you're ready to have a relationship?'

A red-faced Nick appears at a loss for words, and is seen bowing and shaking his head as he tries to muster a response.

Later, a devastated Brittany Hockley and Brooke Blurton share their thoughts.

'I don't understand how we didn't end up together,' Brittany says.

While Brooke remarked in between tears: 'My whole life has just been exposed...I wanted it to be worth it'.
