Did you know that grandparents who babysit their grandkids will live longer than those who don't, a new study has found.
So don't feel guilty next time you need to call on Grandma or Grandpa to help you out.
The Berlin Ageing Study of 500 pensioners found that grandparent babysitters had a 37% lower mortality risk than adults of the same age with no caring responsibilities.
The study, of men and women aged 70 and older, showed that those grandparents who helped care for their children's children lived at least seven years longer.
But there's also good news for older people who aren't grandparents - just looking after other people like neighbours and friends can also help you stay fitter and health.
“We know that as you age, you want to stay physically active; you want to stay socially engaged; you want to be cognitively stimulated; and all those things allow you to age well,” Ronan Factora, a doctor at Cleveland Clinic revealed.
