Emma and Lachy agree to stay together for the good of the band

The Wiggles' Emma Watkins and Lachlan Gillespie have both signed five-year contracts to stay in the super-group - despite their shock separation.

Earlier this month Emma, 28, and Lachlan, 32, revealed they were splitting after just two years of marriage. The couple said they were still friends but had 'chosen a different path to travel in [their] personal lives'. 

And now, it seems the couple have no choice as they have signed water-tight contracts meaning they can not leave The Wiggles even if they wanted to.

Emma and Lachlan have not cancelled a single performance in the wake of their split announcement and on August 26 they will play a special duet show called the Emma & Lachy show.

The reason they split remains unclear, but it’s thought that it was Emma’s decision with one magazine saying the “reality of the marriage did not live up to the fairy tale.”
