Prince Harry made a solo trip to visit the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre recently, and was seen repeatedly touching his wedding ring during the visit.
So what - if anything - does this symbolise about his marriage?
Body language expert Judi James weighed in, telling the Express newspaper that “men are often seen fiddling with their wedding rings,” but that there’s no cause for concern and it actually just indicates that he’s missing his new wife.
"In Harry’s case this looks like a self-comfort ritual performed for two reasons, when he's feeling under pressure or lonely," James said.
In the pictures, Harry is creating a barrier with his arms while he touches his ring, which James says could indicate that he’s missing Meghan’s support. The new couple have been spending a lot of time at royal engagements together lately, after all.
If he was pulling at the ring however, that could mean something else altogether, Judi said.
“The ritual would take on a different meaning if the ring were being pulled up and down the finger or even on and off when it would be much more likely to signal a rift or potential divorce!”
