Did you know there's a peak time that cheaters cheat?

Yes really. Someone has worked this out!

A new survey has found that the ‘peak time’ for affairs is 6.45pm on a Friday night. It is that specific.

The results come from IllicitEncounters, a dating site designed for married people to have affairs – so they know their stuff when it comes to cheating.

They surveyed 1,000 people and found that the majority were unfaithful to their partners at 6.45pm on a Friday - which is usually when coworkers get together for a drink to celebrate the weekend.

There other statistics too that make for scary/fascinating/weird reading - depending on your point of view...

On average, people who have affairs tend to see their affair-partner twice a week, and the most common excuse to cover their tracks for their extramarital activities is that they’re working late or seeing friends from work, with 92% of those surveyed having used this reason for their absence.

The second most popular excuse was going to the gym or doing other exercise, with 74% of adulterers having tried that one. Third was seeing an old friend or being delayed in traffic (what?!) and going shopping.

IllicitEncounters.com spokesman Christian Grant says, ‘What this new research shows is that cheats are creatures of habit. ‘They have strict routines which they tend to stick to when they are seeing their lover.'
