Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig welcome their first baby!
Friends reveal the gender and say the couple are ‘very happy’
Actress Rachel Weisz has given birth to a baby girl, according to a report from The Daily Mail.
The baby is the first child for Rachel and husband Daniel Craig, star of the Bond movies. The couple have told friends they are ‘very happy’ to welcome their new daughter into the world.
The pair, who are notoriously private and married in 2011 in a secret ceremony, already have one child each, from previous relationships.
Rachel revealed her pregnancy back in April 2018 in an interview with The New York Times.
“I'll be showing soon. Daniel and I are so happy,” the 48-year-old said. She also revealed that they had chosen not to find out the gender.
“We’re going to have a little human. We can't wait to meet him or her. It's all such a mystery,” she said.
Later, in an interview with Stephen Colbert, Rachel spoke of her plans to raise her baby in the UK.
“Is the child going to be raised American or English?” Colbert asked the NYC resident, with Rachel responding: “I suppose it will have to be bilingual!”
Weisz was previously engaged to director Darren Aronofsky, with whom she has a son, Henry, age 12. Craig, 50, was previously married to actress Fiona London, with whom he has a 26-year-old daughter, Ella.
Congratulations!
