Palace in shock as Meghan Markle's assistant quits
Just six months after the royal wedding.
A new report claims that Meghan Markle’s personal assistant has called it quits nearly six months after her royal wedding to Prince Harry.
A Palace source has revealed to the Daily Mail that the staffer, who was identified as Melissa, ‘played a pivotal role in the success of the royal wedding’.
‘It’s a real shock,’ said the source.
‘Why would she want to leave such a prestigious job so soon?’
‘Melissa is a hugely talented person,’ the source added. ‘She played a pivotal role in the success of the Royal Wedding and will be missed by everyone in the Royal Household.’
The former Suits actress was given her first dedicated staffer Amy Pickerill in February.
The report has surfaced about a month after Meghan and Harry announced they are expecting their first child.
Kensington Palace declined to comment on the report.
