A maternity hospital is embracing the Christmas spirit, by giving all its newborns 'bad' Christmas jumpers!
One of the nurses at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Magee-Womens Hospital knitted a selection of jumpers and dressed up newborns in the nursery unit in teeny, tiny "ugly sweaters".
While we think the jumpers are FAR from ugly, the nurse who made them, Caitlin Pechin, wanted them to be as crazy as possible for a special day at the hospital
In a Facebook post the hospital says these are the first sweaters Caitlin has ever made!
“I tried to make ugly Christmas sweaters for the babies, but I actually think they turned out pretty cute,” Pechin told CBS 2. She added that her favourite ones include the penguin and the Christmas tree.
"It lifts everyone up and brightens the mood," she says. "Staff members will even come in on their days off to do these things because they love it."
