Mealtime meltdowns could be a thing of the past thanks to a cleverly designed dinner plate for toddlers and pre-schoolers.

Parents have been raving about the Dinner Winner Mealtime Tray on social media, which features compartments in the shape of a snake and messages of encouragement on the bottom to make eating a game.

The last compartment has a little lid on the top so parents can hide a small treat underneath, which kids can have as a reward for finishing their meal.

As well as being made from BPA-free melamine and is food-safe and dishwasher safe.

One mum shared on Facebook how successful the plate has been in getting her little one to eat dinner – veg and all!

“‘I really struggle with my three year old as she never sits still so we are constantly telling to her to sit back down, also she is very fussy and doesn’t like meals, but bought this plate and she’s sat and eaten ALL her dinner including the veg,” the mum raved.

“Ours worked a treat with both my kids …. every kids different. So good luck to all the fussy eaters and hr long cold dinner homes’ and simply ‘They are amazing !!!!” wrote another parent.

The Dinner Winner plates are currently on sale in Aldi in the UK, but are also available in Australia from website Trendy lil Eats, and are currently on sale for $22 (RRP $30).

The plate can also be found on The Therapy Store for around $27 and on Ebay.com.au for around $29.
