Mum knows best.

01

You are who your friends are

Although it’s incredibly annoying to hear your mum complain about who we spend our time with, we also know there is substance and truth to these words. Surrounding yourself with positive people is a vital key to life and of course, will keep you out of trouble.

02

Never forget to brush your teeth – that’s morning & night

We all know that feeling as a kid of mum nagging us to brush our teeth, but never really taking it too seriously. Do yourself a favour and listen to her. It will eventually pay off. Dr David Dunn, Philips Sonicare ambassador, backs this up, “start taking your oral health routine seriously. Ensure you’re not only brushing and flossing morning and night but also invest in a quality and reputable brush such as the Philips Sonicare range to make the process much easier and effective”.

03

Give a firm handshake, and look them in the eye

We’ve all had the pre-interview advice from mum (and dad of course) especially when it comes to a lesson on handshake etiquette. While it may be ill-timed, we all know deep down she’s right. Shout-out to mums everywhere for getting their kids hired!

04

Eat your greens

Sure, we loathed eating our broccoli, spinach and avocado back in the day but who’s laughing now. Mum’s all over the world are likely throwing up their hands as they watch us down our green smoothies day-to-day. It sure is good advice from mum and dieticians who wouldn’t dispute the fact that getting your daily dose of greens is vital. “It’s also key you get the right nutrients and minerals from super foods such as your greens not only to aid your oral health but your overall physical health which we know now is very closely correlated,” said Philips Sonicare Ambassador, Dr David Dunn.

05

If everyone jumped off a cliff, would you do it too?

As absurd as it may seem, we actually all fall victim to this line of thinking at one time or another. What mums are really saying is resist the urge to dive into something you know nothing about even though it may be the “flavour of the week”. Trust in your gut.
