Kim and Kanye at odds over baby Chicago

Kim Kardashian has admitted she is not all that keen on her new daughter’s name, saying it “doesn’t flow.”

She made the revelation on her website KimKardashianWest.com, adding that she prefers her older children’s short names.

Husband Kanye West chose the name Chicago as a nod to his hometown, but Kim is not convinced.

“Chicago just looks really long to me and doesn’t flow, so I call her Chi [pronounced ‘Shy’],” she explained. “That’s it, she can decide later if she wants to be called Chicago or Chi.”

Another option on the shortlist was Rei, after Kanye’s Dad, but the 37-year-old says her daughter “doesn’t look like a Rei.” Jo was another name on the list, but that was scrapped too.

“She’s so girly. When she first came out I was like what do we name her? It was the hardest decision ever and I could not think of a name,” the reality star said.

Kim admitted she was also butting heads with Kanye over their daughter’s middle name.

“I’m going to add one. I haven’t really been into middle names but it’s like I really wanted a name that was short. A one syllable name. Noel is my middle name and it’s not a one syllable name but it’s short.

“Like I love the name Noel. Kanye does not. So I unofficially instagrammed Chi Noel and I was like I’m doing this because I want her middle name to be Noel.”
