Aussie fitness star Kayla Itsines has launched an expert-backed Post Pregnancy program on her popular SWEAT app to help women return to light activity and regain their strength after giving birth.
The new mum has been open about her struggle returning to fitness after the birth of her daughter Arna in April and says the program is inspired by her own experience.

“Returning to exercise after having a baby is tough – I underestimated the physical and emotional rollercoaster of motherhood and the challenge of regaining my strength after having Arna,” Kayla said.
“Like many new mums, I was tired, lacked energy and found even a simple walk on the treadmill was exhausting. It was a daunting feeling to realise that I was starting again with my fitness while juggling being a new mum to Arna."
“I created the Post Pregnancy program to offer new mums around the world a convenient, easy-to-use program to restore their physical strength, core posture and confidence. I have tried and tested every exercise in the program, and they work.”
The program is endorsed by a panel obstetricians and exercise physiologists, and will focus on helping new mums increase range of motion and regain strength in areas often weakened during pregnancy.
“It was a real confidence shock,” she previously told Women's Health about rebuilding her strength after giving birth. “Being a trainer for 10 years and then you walk into the gym and you feel like a complete beginner because you’ve never given birth before and you’ve never had this type of surgery before… you’re apprehensive and you just don’t know! It’s the unknown.”
In the same vein, the trainer and entrepreneur has also launched a new BBG Beginner program – a lower intensity option than the original, signature workouts that helped the 28-year-old make a name for herself.
