Kate Middleton has recently spoken out in support of the Anna Freud National Center for Children and Families, in an attempt to raise awareness and help parents understand children's mental health. The mother of two shared that her and Prince Williams "wouldn't hesitate" to seek help for their children if they were in need of mental help support.
The Duchess of Cambridge spread her message whilst promoting the launch of a podcast series titled "Child in Mind", a project by the charity.
"Throughout my work with family and child support organisations, one thing that has stood out to me time and again is that getting early support for a child who is struggling to cope is the best possible thing we can do to help our children as they grow up.
"Knowing this, both William and I feel very strongly that we wouldn't hesitate to get expert support for George and Charlotte if they need it," the Duchess said in a statement released by Kensington Palace.
"With the right help, children have a good chance of overcoming their issues while they are still young, and can have the bright future they deserve," Kate added.
The royal also wrote an inspiring guest essay on the Huffington Post earlier this year on the prevalent topic. "A third of parents still worry that they will look like a bad mother or father if their child has a mental health problem," she wrote. "Parenting is hard enough without letting prejudices stop us from asking for the help we need for ourselves and our children."
