Kate Middleton’s special birthday gift for Prince William
Just gorgeous
The Duke of Cambridge turned 37 on Friday, and his wife Kate Middleton gifted him with a very special present.
Along with the couple’s three children, George, five, Charlotte, four and Louis, one, Kate made a scrapbook filled with photographs and homemade pictures.
The gift was stored at Kate’s sister Pippa’s home to keep it a surprise. A source said it was a reminder to Prince William about what is really important in his life.
“Kate and the children have been compiling a large album of the children’s paintings, drawings and collages and prints,” a source told the Sun.
“They reflect what they have been doing over the past year.
“You can look at any event they were involved with as a family and there will probably be a picture, drawing, print or photo.
“It’s taken a great deal of time and effort to make, and as a present, it means something.
“You could say it’s a reminder to William about what is really important.
“It’s been put together with a great deal of care.”
The close-knit family have been seen out in public quite frequently of late, including royal engagements at Trooping the Colour and a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show to see Kate’s Back to Nature garden.
Kensington Palace showed a new picture of Prince William to mark his birthday, while Dad Prince Charles shared a pic of William as a young boy.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex came under fire, however, for their rather formal message, which simply stated ‘Happy Birthday to the Duke of Cambridge’.
The two couples have recently parted ways when it comes to their charity work.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have cut ties with the Royal Foundation.
Prince William and Kate Middleton will continue to head up the charitable organisation, which has been renamed the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to now set up their own Foundation to support their own causes.
