Elle Macpherson, 54, posts make-up free selfie - and sparks frenzy!

Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson sent fans into a frenzy when she posted a make-up free selfie on the school run.

And at 54, fans commented on how fresh-faced the mum-of-two looked. 

The model and business-woman posted the snap on her Instagram stories as she was busy taking son Cy, 15, to school. Her other son Flynn, 20, was with her earlier in the week as she launched her first WelleCo store in New York.

Founded in 2014, WelleCo is a wellness company that specialises in plant-based elixirs that fight the effects of aging. 

The 54-year-old who is still modelling, says she loves being in her 50s as she has found the elixirs she sells work wonders on making her feel good inside and out. 

'We make all-in-one multivitamin and mineral probiotic and prebiotic powders that you can put in water or your smoothies that help fortify your diet and support your system,' she said.

This is one of the first times Elle has posted photos of herself like this as we're usually used to seeing her with a full face of make-up.

But Elle says she is feeling more content than ever.

'I love being 54. I'm still here and I'm turning 55 and I'm just so grateful,' Elle told The Herald Sun.

'I'm strong, I'm fit, I have two amazing sons and I've learnt a lot along the way and I'm really grateful that I'm as happy and healthy as I am,' she added.
