Never judge a YouTube channel by its cover.
That’s the message parents are being urged to keep in mind when letting their children watch shows on YouTube.
The Sun reports popular shows, Peppa Pig, Doc McStuffins and Thomas the Tank Engine, might look legitimate but some have been found to contain “disturbing scenes”.
“One channel, called Smile Kids TV, includes a video of a popular Disney Junior cartoon called Doc McStuffins Drink Sex Medicine Full Episodes,” the publication reports.
YouTube recommends parents only allow children to watch videos through their YouTube kids app.
If parents do come across inappropriate content they can click the more button underneath and have it flagged for review. It can take around 24 hours for a video to be removed.
