Designer creates custom fairy trees for kids’ bedrooms

These are next level!

US artist Robert Rogalski is a multi-talented artist, concept designer sculptor and model builder who has turned his creative hand to making incredible custom trees.

The trees are each one-of-a-kind, designed and built to the needs of each individual client.

One client requested a fairy tree for their daughter’s bedroom, which appears to grow up the walls and up through the ceiling. There are tiny inbuilt shelves for books and toys, as well as small hanging swings and miniature bird houses.

Robert has also recently built a custom cat tree in a client’s living room.

Since posting his creations on his Facebook page recently, Robert has become inundated with questions and requests.

His creations start from around US $3-4K, not including materials. Everything must be built on-site, so while he can travel to build a piece, he cannot ship such large pieces.

“I start with a wooden armature, to give structure, then I attaché, then carve sheets, or blocks of foam, that are then covered with a paper mache, or pulp/particle mache clay, that is mixed with heavy wood glue,” he explains.

“For something that needs less structure, or is temporary, I'll build the tree out of cardboard, and paper mache. Sometimes I do a mix of both techniques. This is still very labor intensive, but I usually charge a little less,” he explains.

So magical!
