American Idol star Carrie Underwood has announced she is expecting her second child, just days after saying she feared she’d missed her chance to have lots of children.
“I'm 35, so we may have missed our chance to have a big family,” she said in an interview with Redbook last week.
“We always talk about adoption and about doing it when our child or children are a little older.”
The singer made the announcement on Instagram, telling her followers in a video.
“Mike and Isaiah and I are totally over the moon and excited to be adding another fish to our pond,” she said.
“This has just been a dream come true with my album and baby news and all that stuff. We’re just so excited.”
The singer’s new album, Cry Pretty, debuts next month, and there are also plans for a tour in May 2019.
