Although she runs her skincare brand The Base, Lara has said family is her key focus.

"For me, my number one priority is my son and my family. The business and everything else works around that."

Explaining how she manages both roles, Lara says: "I get to do my work at night when he's (Rocket) sleeping. My workspace is everywhere. It's all over the world."

She also says she's embracing having two children close together. 'I'm sure it might seem full-on at the beginning for me, and it's probably a lot harder than it is now, but when they get older they can share their life together.'

I grew up in New Zealand, moved to London in my early 20s to work on British newspapers then moved to Australia when I was pregnant with my first child. I write a newspaper column, celebrity interviews and a parenting page. I also do TV and radio commentary, podcasting and host corporate events. I’ve also published a book on parenting, The Smallest Things. However, my greatest role – and the one I’m most proud of – is parenting my daughters, Eliza and Lilibelle, who are 17 and 14.
