Anthony Wiggle and dancer spotted together on tour

Despite the challenges they have faced over the past year, the Wiggles are presenting a united front and appear stronger than ever.

It’s been a tough year for the band, with Emma Watkins having health issues, and announcing her split from husband and fellow Wiggle Lachlan Gillespie.

However, one friendship that appears stronger than ever is the one between Anthony Field and dancer Caterina Mete, who also plays Dorothy the Dinosaur.

The pair have been spotted enjoying a lot of downtime together while on tour in Queensland with the Wiggles, according to a report from New Idea.

They were seen out shopping together on several occasions, and have also been spotted dining in cafes and restaurants.

“Anthony and Caterina would break away from (the rest of the group) and go shopping and eat,” a source said.

“The pair laughed and smiled at each other all day long. This friendship is one built over a long time.”

This is not the first time the pair have been closely linked, with images of the pair together on tour emerging in 2009.

At the time, Caterina was forced to clear things up and and deny any romantic involvement.

“I’m not breaking up [Anthony’s] marriage,” Caterina said at the time.

Those pictures showed the pair visiting Graceland and eating out together on several occasions while on tour in the US.

A few years ago, Anthony’s wife Miki spoke of the difficulties of raising a family with a partner who travels frequently for work.

“Anthony travels at least seven months of the year, so I couldn’t rely on him too much for day-to-day maintenance,” she told Mamamia.

“Being on my own quite a bit, I understand the demands of being a single parent,” Miki added.

With so much time spent on the road it’s unsurprising that the members of the band are so close.
