AFL star's heartbreaking Father's Day

Just two weeks after his son was tragically stillborn, AFL star Rory Sloane commemorated Father's Day with a photo of himself and his beautiful son, Leo.

Rory's wife, Belinda, posted the Instagram picture of Rory cuddling Leo on Father's Day with the message: Happy Fathers Day to our hero 💙 Leo and I LOVE YOU 

The photo quickly gained more than 170,000 likes. 

Leo was stillborn in late August with the Adelaide Crows star missing the final game of the AFL season against Carlton to be at his wife’s side.

Last week the pair posted identical Instagram photos where  they were pictured holding the hand of their baby.

“Last week we said goodbye to our beautiful little man,” Sloane wrote on his Instagram account.

“Leo Rory Sloane was born into the world still, but perfect.

“Thanks for making us the proudest parents and filling our hearts with love beyond measure, the moments we had with you are now beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.”
